The South Florida Wedding Show

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a success!!!
July 9th at Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton, FL got an immense turn-out. Over 450 people graced us with their presence, and many more would have if the weather wasn't so dreadful.
Both clients and vendors deemed 'The South Florida Wedding Show' to be one of the best ones they EVER attended. Can anyone ask for more?
We achieved exactly what we aimed for - to bring high quality vendors in contact with brides, grooms and event professionals from South Florida in an intimate atmosphere.
The 2nd edition will be held July 8, 2010 and is promising to be bigger, better and bolder!
Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, please enjoy the slideshow below from this 1st edition.

Toolbox - No. 2

The International Special Events Society the other major hospitality oriented organization. As a member of their organization, I feel that the biggest benefits are not only the educational oportunities and yearly sympoziums, but the exposure they offer you as well for those looking for a professional.

They offer training and testing for the CSEP (Certified Special Event Professional) exam if you're one to like titles behind your name. I for one, love 'em. The more the merrier! :)

I look forward to this summer. I will be attending the ISES Eventworld (An Institute for Professional Developement), August 6 - 8 in San Francisco. It's the best opportunity to see what is new in the biz. You can read more at http://isesew.vtcus.com/index.aspx

Will keep you updated!

Products we can't live without! - No. 2

http://www.mymms.com/ makes the personalized M&Ms that lately have been everywhere and anywhere! They are a cute addition as a favor for a party, though I recommend against using them for a wedding. They are perfect for displaying in Martini glasses around the centerpiece for the guests to noch on. Corporations ate this brand up with adding their logos onto the candy's shell. But that was back when they had money!
You can either order the 7 oz. bag for you to display as you wish or in a number of different containers (organza bag, tin, crystal container, etc.)
I like the personalized M&Ms, but they're on the way out! They're overdone! (And is that ink that they print with even healthy? Maybe I should have checked that out before I consumed an entire bucket of light blue candies that say 'It's a boy'?!).
I preffer the Premium M&Ms that came out around this past Christmas. You can find them in stores in five vibrant colors and different fillings from Mint to Mocha.
Nibble away!
